One Year of Watching Things

One year ago today, I started this blog and told you all two things: my name was Ben and I watch things. While both of these facts still hold true, today I can now tell you a third that is arguably the most important one yet: I’ve never had more fun watching things than I have in this past year, and it’s thanks to every single one of you that has ever clicked on a BenWatchesThings link, shared this blog with your friends, or reached out to me to discuss (and sometimes argue) opinions on a movie. My main goal in starting this blog was to share my love for movies with others, and while my readership is nothing to boast about it’s still been amazing getting to know some of you and hearing that you feel inspired to watch more movies after enjoying one of my recommendations. 

I initially said that this blog was a journey and that I wasn’t quite sure where it would lead me, but a year later and…well, that’s still true, but that’s all part of the fun. I’ve learned a lot along the way and couldn’t be more excited for whatever the future holds, whether it be some great movies or new ways for me to shake things up; here’s hoping that it’ll be a bit of both and that you’ll be along for the ride.
